Interview: Fashion Blogger Jade Purple Brown

In the blogger world, fashion blogs come a dime a dozen, yet one girl has found a way to grasp the attention of hundreds.

“I want people to click on my posts so I try to make them as visually appealing as possible and the best way to do that is through color,” Jade said. “Besides, I can't have a blog title like Jade "Purple" Brown and not have it be colorful!”

Not only is she fashionable, but she’s hilarious. Her personality shines through her style of writing, and people love it. She has more than 800 followers, and thousands of page views.

Her Twitter bio reads, "if Kanye West and Lindsay Lohan had a love child I would be it." And she introduced herself as "a 19 year old girl who is skilled enough to know the difference between Rodarte and road kill."

Jade said in a blog post, “People have been asking me if I'm famous and saying that I should be, which really flatters me since I'm nowhere near famous, and certain people have even been coming into my life that I don't think would be there if my blog didn't exist.” 

She added, “It seriously scares me. I didn't make this blog in hopes of becoming some big famous celebrity… [It’s] just a way I express myself and that’s it.”

Jade not only highlights fashion editorials from top designers and photographers, but givers us a sneak peak into her wardrobe as well.

She explained, “I get inspiration by a lot of people. I love Blake Lively's effortless style and I also like how Rihanna's not afraid to take risks. I try to add those elements to my everyday outfits.”

And taking risks is something the Illinois native knows quite well.

“When I was in middle school, we had to wear uniforms so I quickly found was to stay in dress code while still managing to look different then everyone else,” Jade said. “I even won best dressed! It outraged a lot of people since it really didn't make any sense, since we couldn't wear whatever we wanted, but they quickly got over it!”

Jade is ready and able to conquer the fashion world, one blog post at a time.
